This document is sensitive, so the section will be landlord only.

What the categories mean

A document can have more than one. "About the property" and "Renting information" decide what goes into the move-in pack a tenant gets; the rest are just for filing.

Landlord paperwork

Your own landlord paperwork, kept for reference. It is never added to a tenant pack.

About the property

Documents about one specific house - gas safety, EPC, EICR, fire safety. They go in the move-in pack for the properties you tick. Pick at least one property.

Renting information - England

Rights and renting information for a tenancy agreement - e.g. the How to Rent guide or the Renters' Rights Act information sheet. Only goes in move-in packs for tenancy agreements.

Renting information - Wales

Rights and renting information for an occupation contract (HMO or student house) - e.g. your RentSmart Wales certificate. Only goes in move-in packs for occupation contracts.

Something everyone must be given, like the Complaints Procedure? Tick both England and Wales.

Deposit paperwork

No category needed - the tenant's own signed DPS document is added to the end of their move-in pack automatically (upload it on the Tasks checklist).

Document type

Say what a document is - gas safety record, EPC, EICR, Renters' Rights sheet, renting guide, complaints procedure or tenant undertaking. The move-in pack uses this to check nothing is missing, and says so on the tenancy's Tasks list if it is.

Contains sensitive information

For things like referencing reports or ID. Sensitive documents are never added to a move-in pack or shown to tenants, and can't be added to the move-in pack.

Only PDFs and images can be combined into a move-in pack. Other file types are stored here but left out.
